Visiting Scholars and Students

Scholars or Students who are visiting from other academic institutions and who are affiliated with a CUHK-Shenzhen department for the purpose of short-term instruction and/or research may apply for Reader’s Privilege of the University Library.

To apply, please send the following information with endorsement to Service Desk / Ask Us on 2nd Floor of the University Library or email the scanned copy to library@cuhk.edu.cn for the Library's confirmation:

• The completed form (Access Only), endorsed by the Department that Visiting Scholar / Student is affiliated with.

Staff of CUHK-Shenzhen Affiliated Institution

Staff of CUHK-Shenzhen Affiliated Institution may apply for Reader’s Privilege of the University Library.

To apply, please send the following information with endorsement to Service Desk / Ask Us on 2nd Floor of the University Library or email the scanned copy to library@cuhk.edu.cn for the Library's confirmation:

• The completed form (Access Only), endorsed by the CUHK-Shenzhen Affiliated Institution.

Family of full-time CUHK-Shenzhen staff

Family of full-time CUHK-Shenzhen staff, who is above 14-year-old, may apply for Reader’s Privilege of the University Library.

To apply, CUHK-Shenzhen staff shall send the following information with endorsement to Service Desk / Ask Us on 2nd Floor of the University Library or email the scanned copy to library@cuhk.edu.cn for the Library's confirmation:

• The completed form (Staff Family Only), endorsed by the Department of the CUHK-Shenzhen staff.

Alumni

All CUHK-Shenzhen graduates are eligible to access the library. 

To access the library as a graduate, you need to follow these steps:

1. Apply for a University Alumni card, please refer to following article for details: Regulations on Alumni Card;

2. Bring the card to the security desk on the second floor of the University Library;

3. Show the card to the staff and take a face recognition photo;

4. Wait for 24 hours for the face recognition access to be activated
