面对面交流,心连心共建——第二届“相约图书馆”活动成功举办 Connecting Through Conversation: The Second “A Date with Library” Event Successfully Held

深圳,2025年4月27日 – 2025年4月11日下午,第二届“相约图书馆”活动在香港中文大学(深圳)图书馆209室顺利举行。本次活动由读者服务部主办,旨在通过馆员与读者的面对面交流,向读者展示图书馆近年来的发展成果,解答读者关切的问题,并听取读者的建议。图书馆馆长葛剑雄教授、副馆长王雯斐老师以及各部门馆员老师代表出席了活动,与到场的二十余位师生读者共聚一堂交流互动。学生会权益部代表出席本次活动。
Shenzhen, April 27, 2025 - On the afternoon of April 11, 2025, the second “A Date with Library” event was held in Room 209 of the Library of CUHK-Shenzhen. Hosted by the User Service Department, the event aimed to promote direct communication between librarians and users, showcase the library’s latest developments, address user concerns, and gather valuable feedback and suggestions.
University Librarian Professor Ge Jianxiong, Senior Sub-Librarian, Ms Wang Wenfei, and librarian representatives from every library department attended the event, engaging in thoughtful discussions with more than 20 faculty and student participants. Representatives from the Student Union's Rights and Equity Department were also present.

活动伊始,主持人对到场师生表示热烈欢迎,带领大家简要回顾了图书馆11年来的发展历程,并介绍了图书馆各部门的主要职能与到场的馆员老师,使读者对图书馆的运作结构有了初步认识。
The event began with a warm welcome from the host, who briefly reviewed the library’s 11-year history and introduced the departmental structure along with the attending staff members. This helped users gain a clearer understanding of how the library functions and the roles of its various teams.
 
随后,图书馆馆长葛剑雄教授致辞。首先葛教授对到场的读者们表示欢迎,并对“约”进行了阐释。他提到,本次活动一方面汇报图书馆的发展情况,另一方面也邀请读者提出批评、建议与要求。同时指出,图书馆将积极听取读者建议意见、在有限的经费和空间中提供尽可能多的服务,而读者了解图书馆运作也有助于更好地接受服务,在本次活动外读者与馆员仍可以长效交流。
Professor Ge then delivered the opening remarks. He welcomed the attendees and shared his interpretation of "Date" in the event's title—emphasizing that this was an opportunity to share the library's progress and invite open and honest communication. He emphasized the library's dedication to actively listening to user feedback and striving to expand services as much as possible within the constraints of available space and funding. Professor Ge added that when users better understand how the library operates, they can also make full use of its services. He encouraged ongoing dialogue between users and librarians beyond the event.
 
接下来,通过观看视频和讲解介绍,读者们回顾了图书馆过去两年间的发展提升,对图书馆的现状有了更深刻的了解。
Next, participants watched a short video and listened to a presentation reviewing the library's key achievements over the past two years, offering more profound insights into its current operations and improvements.
 
活动进行到了最核心的现场交流环节。首先,读者服务部馆员老师就读者反馈的高频问题进行了解答和现场演示,包括馆内资源查询获取、设施损坏处理、研讨室隔音、馆内温度和咨询途径等。随后进行的互动环节将气氛推向高潮:问题涉及馆内图书布局、数据库推荐、本部借阅证开通、图书荐购平台上线等问题。师生们踊跃提问,馆员老师耐心回应。葛剑雄教授专业而不失幽默的解答让现场笑声不断。大家畅所欲言,气氛十分热烈。
The highlight of the event was the Q&A session. Librarians from the User Service Department addressed frequently asked questions and gave live demonstrations on topics such as how to find resources, report facility issues, control the sound in the group study room, adjust indoor temperature, and access consultation services. In the interactive segment that followed, the atmosphere became lively as participants asked about a wide range of topics, including book placement location, database purchase recommendations, access to the CUHK Library, and the launch of a new book recommendation platform. Librarians responded with patience and clarity, while Professor Ge’s knowledgeable yet humorous responses kept the room filled with laughter and warmth.

随着交流环节的结束,本次活动也落下了帷幕。馆员老师与到场的师生们共同合影,以作留念。会后,部分读者与馆员进行了更为深入的交流。
As the discussions concluded, the event included a group photo of all users and librarians. Some participants stayed afterward for more in-depth conversations with the librarians.
 
本次“相约图书馆”活动不仅拉近了图书馆与读者的距离,也为进一步提升服务质量奠定了坚实基础。未来,图书馆将继续以读者需求为导向,打造更加智慧、便捷的知识服务平台。
"A Date with Library" strengthened the bond between the library and its users and laid a solid foundation for future service improvements. Looking ahead, the library will continue to prioritize user needs and strive to create a more innovative, more accessible knowledge-sharing platform.
