Dear Library Users,
We hope this email finds you well after the end-of-term exams. We want to congratulate you on your hard work and perseverance throughout this challenging period. We understand that everyone needs to take a break from time to time, so we hope you had the opportunity to rest and relax.
We want to inform you that the Start-up Zone is undergoing renovations and construction work, resulting in the temporary closure of the original road outside the Philip Wong Yu-hong & Anita Leung Fung-yee Library. We advise you to use the backup path in Zhi Xin Building to access the Library. You may find further information in the Notification section below.
In May, the Library participated in the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau University Library Alliance and Forum, which provided an excellent opportunity for us to gain insights and learn from other library professionals in the region. We were also honoured to welcome colleagues from Beijing Normal University Library for a visit and exchange of ideas.
We are always striving to improve our collection and resources to meet the needs of our users. Recently, we have added new books to our shelves and updated our electronic resources. We invite you to visit our website or visit the University Library to check out our latest additions.
We are grateful for your support and trust during the past semester. Our commitment to providing you with the best services and resources remains strong. We encourage you to take advantage of our collection and continue your learning and exploration of knowledge.
Finally, we want to remind you that the Library is always here to serve you. If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We value your feedback and continuously seek ways to improve our services.
Thank you for your continued support, and we wish you all the best for the upcoming summer break.
Best regards,

Abstract:
Why the United States lags behind other industrialized countries in sharing the benefits of innovation with workers and how we can remedy the problem. The United States has too many low-quality, low-wage jobs. Every country has its share, but those in the United States are especially poorly paid and often without benefits. Meanwhile, overall productivity increases steadily, and new technology has transformed large parts of the economy, enhancing the skills and paychecks of higher-paid knowledge workers. What's wrong with this picture? Why have so many workers benefited so little from decades of growth? The Work of the Future shows that technology is neither the problem nor the solution. More…
