We curated the Art Infinity event series, showcasing the captivating beauty of traditional Chinese culture and art through exhibitions and lectures. Additionally, we organized the Read It Out event as part of the 2023 A Walk in the Books initiative, offering a unique platform for book lovers to share their favourite reading pieces and fostering a vibrant community of literary enthusiasts. At the Chapter One University Library Welcome Booth, our enthusiastic librarians introduced our extensive range of services and resources. We also held informative orientations providing valuable insights into navigating our resources and maximizing the benefits of our services.
We're also excited to announce that we have introduced a few new and updated resources for you to explore. Whether it's our expanded digital collection, enhanced research databases, or innovative study spaces, we strive to provide you with the best resources to support your academic journey.

- Library Notification -
- Rooms Q101-Q106 on the first floor of Philip Wong Yu-hong & Anita Leung Fung-yee Library have been transformed into Quiet Study Rooms and will be available for online reservation. Please refer to the "Group Study Room Booking System" for usage rules. The online reservation for the relevant rooms is scheduled to open on September 1, 2023.
- The library space adjustment has been completed, and we have created extra space for 176 new seats. The relevant supporting furniture will be in place as soon as possible. However, some areas are still undergoing power supply renovation, so we kindly ask your patience and caution.
- The soundproofing renovation of group study rooms on the first floor and the renovation work on the third floor's sunshine area of the University Library have both been completed. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we improve our facilities and services.

The Library Successfully Held Multiple Orientations in September
In September, the library organized multiple orientations specifically for new students, which were integrated into various welcoming activities hosted by departments such as HSS, SME, SSE, SDS, and the Graduate School. These orientations aimed to help new students familiarize themselves with the library's resources, services, and facilities, providing them with the necessary guidance and support to make the most of library resources during their university life. 为了迎接新学年的开始，大学图书馆于9月11日至15日期间，在一楼入口连廊举办了为期一周的摆台宣传活动。本次活动的题目，“第一章·大学图书馆：探索知识世界的起点”，表达了图书馆对新学年伊始的美好祝愿，同时我们也希望读者们可以通过图书馆这个信息媒介，开启他们的知识之旅。这次活动由读者契合与品牌推广部筹划，学科服务部和读者服务部主要参与。同时，本次活动也受到了图书馆其他部门，包括图书馆办公室、采编部和信息技术与系统支持部的大力支持。To welcome the beginning of the new academic year, the Library organized a week-long promotional event in the entrance corridor on the first floor from September 11 to 15. The event, titled " Chapter One University Library Welcome Booth: The Starting Point for Exploring the World of Knowledge," conveys our best wishes for the start of the new academic year and our hope that library users can embark on their journey of knowledge through the Library as an information gateway. 书画载道，翰墨传馨。9月4日下午，《艺术无限·Art Infinity》系列文艺展的开幕仪式在大学图书馆三楼隆重举行。开幕式特邀了《凤凰周刊》的主编、香港中文大学（深圳）的驻校艺术家邓康延先生，以及深圳北理莫斯科大学艺术中心的主任和国际合作交流处的第一副处长纳杰日金娜女士。此外，学生事务处的田方处长等嘉宾也亲临现场，为开幕式增添了光彩夺目的色彩。On the afternoon of September 4, the opening ceremony of the "Art Infinity" series of art and literature exhibitions was held on the third floor of the Library of CUHK-Shenzhen. We cordially invite you to attend the opening ceremony of the Art Infinity series of cultural exhibitions. The theme of this exhibition is "The Forbidden City - Qianlong Emperor's Collection of Calligraphy and Painting," which aims to showcase the precious calligraphy and painting treasures collected by the Qianlong Emperor in the Palace Museum. The exhibition will display high-definition replicas of 20 valuable artworks, presenting a rare cultural feast. The opening ceremony will be held at the Sunshine Area on the third floor of the University Library from 15:00 to 17:00 on Monday, September 4. Refreshments will be provided for the exhibition visitors, and a professional guide will be available after the exhibition to better understand the exhibits' historical and cultural value. In addition, we have prepared commemorative refrigerator magnets and postcards for the Art Infinity series of exhibitions for visitors to collect while enjoying the exhibition. More…
