Library Photography and Filming Policy
I. Basic Principles
No Unauthorized Photography
The library is a public space dedicated to learning and research. Unauthorized photography, including filming, video recording, and live streaming, is strictly prohibited. If photography is required for teaching, promotion, or other special purposes, prior approval must be obtained, and relevant regulations must be followed.
II. Application and Approval for Photography
- Application Procedure
- For Internal Personnel: Submit an online application to the library, specifying the purpose, time, location, and type of equipment for the shoot, along with contact information for the responsible unit.
- For External Organizations: Applications must be submitted by the internal liaison department to the library.
- For Commercial Photography: Strictly prohibited.
Approval Timeline
Applications must be submitted at least 3–5 working days in advance. The library will provide feedback on the approval status within 2 working days.
III. Photography Regulations
- Time and Location Restrictions
- Photography must avoid peak periods for library users (e.g., exam weeks) and must not disrupt normal operations.
- Designated areas for photography include: the atrium area on the second floor, the exhibition area on the second floor, the sunlight area on the third floor, and public central staircase. Photography is prohibited in group study rooms and open study areas.
- Personnel and Equipment Management
- All individuals involved in photography must strictly adhere to the Library Code of Conduct, refraining from loud noises, running, or using sound amplification equipment.
- Food, colored beverages, and tobacco products are strictly prohibited in the library.
- Moving books, furniture, signage, or blocking safety passages is strictly forbidden. If adjustments to furniture layout are necessary, they must be reported in the application and approved by the library beforehand.
- The photography team must restore the site to its original condition within 2 hours after the shoot. Any damage or malfunction caused will be subject to financial liability.
- Protection of User Rights
- Photography must not capture the facial features of other library users or staff, ensuring their privacy rights.
- Photographic content must not include unauthorized library collections, internal materials, or resources under copyright restrictions.
IV. Supplementary Provisions
Policy Interpretation
This policy is subject to interpretation by the library and will take effect upon publication. The library reserves the right to adjust specific details as needed based on actual circumstances.
